Its the AHC. Most of us in the 100 series LC world, delete them, as US bound LX had them, and only certain years LC had them in the US.
If serviced, they can easily go over 250K miles.
Does it have a maze of hydraulic hoses going to the shocks?
I had the joy of deleting all that on a 4Runner (I think) when one of the front shocks sprung a leak and the truck's owner had "I'm comin' to see you Elizabeth!!" moment when he found out how expensive it would be to repair to original spec.
Not as bad as the 2017ish Land Rover that failed a pump solenoid unit and all of the lines looked like they were going to not survive replacement. Some were seeping, too. Some of the lines called for 10hr each. He was looking at 40 hours labor plus parts. The supercharged engine was nice as were the gigantic brakes but jeez. He opted to trade it in instead.

I'd probably replace the car it is attached to also. Holy rust!

Yes there are hydraulic hoses on driver and passenger sides. Usually the pumps will continously run, hoses will rot, AHC will flash yellow and eventually it won't go into N, will be stuck in L or H.
If you switch it to conventional, you need new springs front (T-bars) and rear. Try to find someone getting rid of their Land Cruiser suspension.
