Thinking about new lightweight wheels for the 09 Hyundai Accent my buddy is building for autox. Probably looking for 15" or 16". The best option I've found so far is the Mini Imola 7-spoke that weighs in at about 12lbs. Any other suggestions in the same range or lighter? Price matters, to a point - he's willing to go with new wheels if needed, but cheaper is always better.

Are you sure on that center bore?  I looked up on one source and it said:

Accent '00-'08
4x100 bolt pattern
12x1.5 stud
67.1 center bore

Other sites are saying 54.1 center bore????

If 54.1 is correct that means same size as Miata!

In reply to John Welsh :

They're 54.1 center bore. I've seen one with stock Miata 16" wheels on it.

The NB miata 15 inch x 6 wide is 13 lbs and can be found cheap. I sold my extra set for $40. That was unusually low, special price was for a college student that was new to autocross. I'll bet you can find a set for $80-100.

15x6.5 King Helium - 11.2lb and only a little over $100/ea.

40mm should be close enough, hub bore only matters if it's too small, and no tire size was specified to fit... Which is probably more important than a little weight.

At only 5.5 wide, the Imola wouldn't be very high on my list for an autox build... And I'd still want wider for the tires I'd choose for an autox build.

Pick the tires (size) first, then pick wheels (width and offset needs over weight wants) to suit.

Well, I got it wrong in the title, and others corrected it - it's 54.1, not 56.1. I'm basing my sizing information on this: https://wheelssize.com/wheels/hyundai/accent/#2009 - it's certainly possible it's not correct; it's the internet, and I have not measured to confirm.

Check out the Advanti flow formed wheels as well.  Lots of low weight perfromance and looks on a budget.

+1 for miata 15x6 NB wheels, super easy to find, although around me they are going for more like $200 a set now.

I believe these are the ones you're referring to Doc?

15X7.5 +35 Fits as well... and I know a guy selling some. 17lbs each but will offer the right width for a decent tire. 6" wheel is going to be really pinched, make the steering a bit mushy. Gettng the extra width will be well worth the trade off of extra weight.

All points noted and passed along. He's handling finding the wheels and tires; I'm just feeding him information gleaned here, since neither one of us really knows these cars.

Width?

There are some unobtanium 15x6 SSR Type C's and TE37s in the offset of 42ish if you want to go that route.
