I like this from the person doing the film:
"Tous les concurrents que j'ai pu filmé sont dans cette vidéo à l'exception de ceux qui ont fait une sortie de route, je les ai mis dans une vidéo spéciale spectacle à part afin de ne pas heurter la sensibilité des puristes
Translation: I filmed everyone that I could with the exception of those that crashed. Did not want to offend the pansy assed car waxers, so I made a separate Video of those events")
So its not that people did not screw up on this later clip, just that he edited those guys out and created a separate carnage video.
I love a rally where you get something as high end as a Ferrari Breadvan and a Renault Gordini. Something for everyone in that mix.

That is some very loose translation there NOHOME...I like it.
Why do they all sound like they run like ass?
In reply to Swank Force One:
In France the fuel is made of cheese?
Is that called "Understeer Corner"?
In reply to Swank Force One:
Dude, not everything sounds like an F2T.

They should put a sign up "Reducing radius corner ahead - remember you have E36 M3ty brakes and no ABS"

Yeah, for the part i watched there wasnt a single incident that wouldnt have been prevented by ABS. But this is vintage racing, and totally avoidable low-technology accidents are part of the charm as long as it's not my money getting scraped off! haha

A smarter driver's foot would have prevented quite a few of those issues. My point earlier about the "cheaper" Alfa's not having as many issues as the more expensive rides was really more about the fact that they likely get driven more often and therefore the drivers may be a bit more likely to know how to feather the brake pedal and what threshold braking feels like, not to mention how to fight the body's urge and actually release the brake pedal to allow the front wheels to turn so the car's attitude can be altered slightly and they could go back to threshold braking.
Of course that's not your point, you're just trolling since for some reason you seem to advocate installing ABS on vintage race cars or that people who don't want ABS are somehow less intelligent?
The fact is those are expensive vintage iron being tossed around mountain roads in the middle of France and I think that is awesome. The amount of money it requires to afford to wad one of those Jags into a ball rarely matches up with the driving skill necessary to avoid wadding the car up in the first place.
Here's some highlights (lowlights?) from this year:
Poor TR4. Watch for the same Gulf'ed up Elan to make an appearance in this second video. Not much destruction until the 5 minute mark: Poor Lotus. Also watch for the outstanding yellow flag work by one of the corner workers.
Side note: Tim, there's a guy in France that can now help with the missing rear half of you new Lotus project.

Idiots should have been warning them about that turn
If you listen to the comments from the camera crews you realize that they are there to exploit this situation, not help the drivers. "This one has potential" This one is coming in hot" .
Could not quite catch the meaning at the end where he is telling us to check out all the skid marks and then something about a Pig. I think he is saying it was a pig of a corner?

You need to get to some vintage races... not everything great sounds as smooth as modern fuel injection. I actually like the character of vintage racers, the pops, farts, and grumbles.

I love how the navigator checks his notes immediately after they smack the guardrail.

I'd travel all the way to France just to stand on the side of the road and watch those cars drive by. Lots of cool and interesting cars.

Man did he wedge that thing in there... kinda of a shame, with him stuck there, and the cautionary acts of the spectators... little other "action" took place.
