SWEET!!! That's the exact same time we got in our turbo Alfa a long time ago. Love to see classics like that go so fast!

Aw man, I'm a bit bummed that the Pontiac didn't put down an 8! Come on guys, just throw some Bars Leaks at it and go again!

But nobody wants that.
Nobody wants it. But, you would have to admit, it would be period-correct for the concours.
Awesome seeing everyone today. Currently at the hotel sorting/backing up a ton of images. (Only 1038 left to sync at the moment....)

Overall over budget drag time gets a welder. Overall under budget drag time gets a set of quickjacks.
I'm working on drag times now. If you're curious, the left lane on this slip is what an F-150 Lightning will run while still full of tools and such.... It hits a 106 mph limiter about 3/4 of the way down the track.
Sorry I couldn't be there this year, but I have a new job description that involves special projects for the company. I am at the Charlotte airport on my way home from scouting a potential, more central, and truly amazing location for the $2000 Challenge in the future.

Tell me you want to lower the burden on folks who travel for the Challenge without saying you want me back.

Hmm... that's intriguing
"Central" and "Charlotte" does not compute........however "future Challenge" is very nice to hear, even if I never enter again. It's a great event and needs to continue.

Charlotte has good connections to all of 'Fly-over' country.
It would be awesome to have the Challenge within a reasonable one day drive!

That sounds very interesting!

Tuning in late, following Bill and Ted's (I mean Tim's) Biturbo adventures. I already have 5 cars currently (aiming for 4 & all well over $2k) & you're telling me I might have to buy another?

I could have made a small contribution. And probably kept it a secret.
Just my thoughts on a new venue. Yes, it allows many who have thought about coming to actually join in......But, the event has had a core of regulars from Florida and the southeast who have kept it going all these years. Will they continue to do so? I hope so. Much of my interest in the Challenge is the fact that it's like a family reunion, and I've already missed the last five. I think of a bunch of competitors as friends and I wouldn't want to lose seeing them.

Some agreement.
Many think The Challenge is a car event. To those that know...its a people event!
