Off to an exciting start, tons of fans on the fence. Strange to be warm at a Rolex 24 vs the usual cold temperatures.

Non peacock TV coverage is currently being superceded by college basketball on USA. Until coverage comes back, go Duquesne I guess.
If you can make your way to Canada (virtually) the coverage on IMSA TV is great, no commercials, Radio LeMans commentary and 13 optional in car streams with no commentary.

That Pilot challenge race was awesome. There is a replay on YouTube, if like me, all free options have been explored and failed to allow me to watch the 24 start. I think the local high school basketball game coverage will end at 3:30 so I finally get to see something.
Man, quite a few cars who can't control themselves to be calm for the first 20 hours of this race. Sucks bad to crash out less than 2 hours into the race.
It's surprising to me how well the ancillary bits took the energy of the hit, leaving the tub nearly pristine.

Do the math on P2...much higher %.
At this rate, the P2's will all be gone by midnight...
Who wrecked the pace car?

Looks like all the photographers are at the international horseshoe.
where is your favorite spot to shoot photos at the Rolex?
If you get bored during the next full course yellow (which should be coming up as soon as the #20 car goes back out again), check out the Interlagos GP Cidade de SP 1000 Milhas Chevrolet Absoluta 2024. Radicals and Ford Focuses dicing it up while everyone speaks Portugese. Nice distraction.
Also, the rolex 24 needs a joker lap—at The FIRM. and they have to drive there. With any luch, the one time thy go through there that Jamaican place in Palatka will actually be open and they can get some plantains and a steamfish.
In my opinion, LMPT2 is the worst part of this race. I find it boring and pointless. I think it bugs me because they just suck up screen time, and track space, from the classes in actually care about.
Oh hey, a film crew and Brad Pitt just walked by me in the pits.
Pretty cool to see that they are filming during the actual race.
