Congrats! Amazing car and sounds like an epic previous owner. I just recently acquired something like that on a smaller scale (my NC2 Miata).
Congrats! I am a 9 time over miata owner and ex spec racer. We purchased a brand new silver NC2 Miata PRHT GT, silver, 9K off MSRP when we lived in Boston. Same color as the one in the broschure.
I had my 93 MR2 T and my wife had the NC2. We couldn't bring our first born from the hospital (Brown in Providence) due to our 2 two seaters. Had to borrow my friends Accord sedan.
Hope you enjoy the Miata in good health.

I like the box of tissues. Let's figure those are for runny noses, yes?
Congrats. Lots of us can live vicariously through your acquisition.
Thank you! I bet the box of tissues are for the runny noises, but on the 2nd of January may be for his and my eyes.
First order of business when I get home:
Exterior & Interior detail
Remove all window stickers
Remove radar detector and front dash cam (from cigarette lighter).

He paid off his house in 4 years. Then paid cash for an almost $100k car in 1999. Yeah, that guy is in a different income bracket than me. Don't really understand the Porsche hatred tho, obviously I have to disagree with him!

As you know well, I don't have any Porsche hatred. I was just sharing an interesting viewpoint.
I told him the Elise isn't British the way he thinks, its all Toyota/Yamaha, and he says "but it is a British POS" hah! I just let it be, not worth it the hassle.:) He then went on the tirade on his MG and how junk British cars are.
Anyways... yes... he is also in a different income bracket than me. Having said that... we are all car people at the end of the day.
Merry Christmas.

You're going to love it. I'm 6.5 years into owning my 2005 and it has totally exceeded expectations.

Been WAITING for you!!! Yours is one of my favorites on the forum. When the 02-05 came out, I didn't like them. Now I really love them.
I really stretched the budget to get the 98-01 cars, and 02-05 weren't going to happen this time around!
We have the scheduled the delivery for tomorrow. I just got home late last night.
The owner (who has been fabulous) has been gathering all his NSX memorabilia and I can't wait to see them. True gentleman and enthusiast!
I will then drive it to Niguel Motors (best NSX service in CA, and where she has been serviced), and leave it there for the T Belt service. On the phone he mentioned, even though it will look new when he takes it off, he will do it, as he thinks it is recommended due to the age.
Then will bring it home, when he is done.
It should be a nice 30 mile first drive. I may have to take the long way to the shop. Should have finally some delivery pics and keys in hand tommorrow!
I'm a tad jealous, but super happy for you. I got to drive one once in 1992 and the memory has lived rent-free in my head for 30 years.

Thank you.
Owner told me "please bring a big car. I have SO much NSX stuff, it will not fit in the car."
I told him I will bring a big car to his house, take NSX to shop, and uber back to his house to get all the stuff back home.
TOO GIDDY today

Thank you sir! Come visit when you are tracking here next.
I have a track day in Feb, not sure if I can get the NSX there, but will be out there in my MR2
Awesome story! Congrats on finding your dream car and such an amazing owner/seller!
I've also loved the NSX since it was new. Back in 1993 the local dealer humored me by letting me sit in the one they had in the showroom while my mother was car shopping. Otherwise, my Tamiya model will have to do.
This is such an awesome story, I'm so happy for you mr2s2000elise!
Congrats! Very few cars on the road have a presence to them like the NSX, always loved them.
In reply to Placemotorsports :
Thank you sir! Definitely don't see them on the road much, when new, and even now.
In reply to WonkoTheSane :
Thank you for the nice words

Thanks! Post pics of your model.
Wow, what a beauty! I'm in for the delivery pics and story.

See you one hour after delivery.
(kidding... but I might take you up on that)
Remember this feeling, you earned it. So jealous though....
Late in chiming in, but totally, totally in awe. The NSX is the only supercar that I ever really wanted (instead of just lusted after). They remain out of my price range, but if I ever hit the lottery (or the McDonald House Vette/money giveaway), one of them is on my list, even though I would have to rent a garage in town on a paved road. Enjoy it forever, and keep us posted so we can drool. You are a lucky, lucky man.
Also way late to the party, but what an unbelievable find and a great story. Congrats on finally getting your dream car! Good luck with the delivery!
Wow, much congratulations.
Well didnt get much sleep. T minus 6 hours
owner (for a old guy), sure knows how to tease with photos
