mechanic said old T belt would have been good for another 100 k - replacing not needed.
also mentioned nsx used to have 30w motor oul in trans from factory - replaced with honda gear oil - smooth as butter
mechanic also said for me , h&r spacer, eibach springs, momo wheel a must
enjoying drive - will write later
I'm totally sure you are going to love it, these cars really are special. Honda MTF is the right choice for fluids. Have fun getting to know your hot new love. Be sure to spend some time topless, and also be sure to get the revs up for the full experience.
This should help get you in the mood

Living so close to ACH is ridiculous as you know

Love the Senna video. Yeah mechanic was mentioning Honda didn't put the MTF in the original NSXs? I wasn't sure about that. He's an original Honda Trained NSX tech - so I am in listening mode when I am there.
The trans is now buttery smooth and I love it.
I am not a topless type of guy, but I left it topless all day yesterday. What a great day and high quality automobile.
Truly is special car, and this is truly a pristine special example.
She is all that and a bag of chips as Jenny Jones used to say.

I will have to do some back to back with the Elise/S2000/MR2..
So far - ASTONISHINGLY good
What an amazingly beautiful update. So glad it made it in the hands of another enthusiast, instead of some douche that's going to clap it out and flip it in a year.
So jealous.

Thank you very much!!
Definitely no flipping/selling/clapping it out here...

That made me realize these two were made at the same time, so I found a car and driver comparison test with these two, the C4 ZR1, Ferrari 348, and a Carrera 4. they liked the lotus the least (mostly because of the cramped interior it seems) and the NSX the most. Interestingly the ZR1 beat out the 348 for third, which I guess counts as a minor victory for lotus anyway.
30% of the windshield stickers have been removed. It has been far more of a delicate task to take them off in order to preserve them.
189 miles curvy roads logged early AM - no one on the road. Driving feel was, no where as raw as my Elise, but much more grown up than my 95 Mr2 Turbo...
Enjoying it very much so far
first use of pop ups

Evo even more so :)
I will have to get some pics with the Elise/MR2/300zx

That was a great read! Thank you for sharing. I love reading the old tests.
I used to love the Zr1....
I would do unspeakable things to even get a chance to drive one of those, much less have one in the garage.
That color is perfect.

Deal! A bit of a drive, but we are hoping to visit California later this year before my mother's husband sells his home in San Diego. We've got some friends in LA we need to visit as well.

Look me up. I do a bunch of international travels- but if I am here - would love to hang out
