Z1 is one of the cars you can import as specialist/important/collector (or whatever that category is called) car and plate it, as long as you don't exceed 2500 miles per year. Plus you have to get permission to sell it (I think from the NTHSA, might be the EPA) and all that fun stuff. But you can get into the country legally and plated.

Yep, it's on the "Show and Display list" which is easily found with the Google, if anyone is interested.
There was a Z1 in the parking lot of Comfort Inn & Suites in Savannah 2-3 weekends ago (the weekend of the historic races).
It was red & had SC plates. Maybe the same car.
