My shop recently picked up this truck for our sales lot. It has nice paint, super clean interior, and rebuilt original engine. I'm not a fan of the bright yellow myself, but there is really only one major problem with it. The wheels. I have a feeling that the person who installed these wheels was not the person who restored it. Such a nice truck and then they put on a set of chrome 22's that are usually found on an old Caprice or Tahoe in the hood. Besides looking like cheap crap, the offset makes me wince.

I think a pristine set of OEM steelies would look hot.

Boss man likes Torque Thrusts

What do you think would look good on it? Hive opinions appreciated.

Steelies would be fine on that truck IF they were WIDE.

If not, Torque-Thrusts.

Yep--fat, black steelies with dog dish hubcaps.

Steelies, but paint match them or do white.

Still 6 lug or converted to 5?

Barrelled steelies just like that C10, in white or light grey, red if you absolutely must, with age-correct dog dishes.

Deep steelers and either dog dishes or baby moons.

There's a company called Detroit Vintage Wheels that specializes in restoring and selling cool old aftermarket wheels from the 60's, 70, and early 80's. Maybe they have something cool enough for that truck. They are on Facebook.

I was thinking widened steelies too, but not like it needs them to lay down the power. They would look good though.

I agree on white or grey for the steelies. Paint matched would be WAY too much yellow.

Torque thrusts are exactly what I was going to say.

with that yellow.. steelies would be out of place. Go with some nice Torque thrusts.. maybe with a graphite centre?

I'd vote for either Steelies or Torque Thrusts, but hopefully you'll leave some sidewall. I'm not a fan of the "rubber band" low-profile look on old cars and especially trucks. I'd think a 60 series tire is about as low as I'd want to go. More sidewall also = a more compliant ride.

Deep (Corvette) Chevy Rally rims would look good too---- they wouldn't be flashy, but they would blend in nicely.

In the end though----it's all about what turns you on. It always amazes me how different opinions can be on what looks good, and what doesn't. It's all personal preference.

Slightly off-topic, but what's it selling for? I rather like it

If it's still 6 lug, some rally 15X8s off a Blazer would be sweet.

Steelies. They don't need to be wide, but you can have the offset tweaked by rebarreling to get the right stance.

I am also a big fan of chrome steelies, no dog dish cap.
.

Classic trucks, IMO, should have 15" wheels and fat tires.

More votes on wide steelies, if not Cragar SS for that 70's look. But please, please keep the straight six.

My opinion (which is worthless)

Wheel Vintiques 16" smoothies with caps and beauty rings. Slightly more modern size, Lots of tire options, Looks very period correct but "better" to my eyes

Muscle car Cragars or Corvette ralleys just seem slightly off with the stovebolt under the hood.

I would also ditch the bed cover/tonneau. It adds too much of the yellow which makes it seem over the top and modernizes it too much.

We're selling it on consignment, so the vehicle owner dictates selling price. It doesn't have a sticker on it or on our website yet, but I think I overheard the owner mention he wants $35K.
