My 2009 Hyundai has less than 60k miles on it. Battery was replaced in the last 2-3 years, passed inspection with flying colors 2 months ago. When I start it, though, sometimes the belts make a loud shrieking noise for a few seconds, and sometimes turning my wheel is really tight and I have to ease the wheel into turning further, almost like warming up a muscle for a stretch or a lift. Twice in the last month, within 10-15 min of starting my car, I've had power lights blink while making a turn, accompanied by the belt noises.

Is it power steering? Alternator? Battery again? Something else?
Is it tight? Check pulleys too. But, sure sounds like an alternator to me.
Omkar, which Hyundai model?
Less than 60k miles on a 10 yr old car?
With this being your first posting ever at GRM...welcome.
Do you own any small water craft? Boats?
Could be just an engine belt slipping if you're lucky, but definitely get that checked before it causes a breakdown, that belt is going to stop turning an important engine accessory soon for one reason or another.

I think you can hit it to the nearest mechanics for repairing. It's not safe to drive with getting a service.
