As many of you know, we lost one of our members here this month. M030, or Brian as I knew him was a dear friend and a great person. He left behind a wife and son, who unfortunately are in a position where they have a project car that they have no interest in. The car in question is a 95 crammit with a v6 and a manual transmission. Brian was building it as a challenge car and as such it is in full project car mode. It's pretty rough, it has rusty floors and some damage to both rear quarters.

It has some goodies on it though.

It has an ss rear end with lsd and short gears, konis and springs of some sort, some shiny factory wheels (ss maybe), and an energy suspension master kit. It has goodridge lines but needs the hard lines to be replaced due to rust.

Because of the condition, it's going to be a tough car to retail. Anyone want it for a donor or something? Itd be a good start for a challenge car because its dirt cheap and has some good suspension and brake stuff.

Anybody want it? I'm sure Brian's old lady could use the dough.

I know a guy that can use the drivetrain if someone wants it for the other stuff. Especially if its a 3.4 v6

What exactly is a crammit?

Crammit: a type of GM-produced mullet-mobile belonging to the Transmarobird family. Also sometimes spelled as Camaro or Camero.

It'll be worth more as a running driving car. Would you or someone else here be willing to build it for the Challenge with donations from the board? I don't know the legal issues but maybe even raffle it off at the Challenge with the proceeds going to his wife and son? Either way I'll do anything I can to help.

If it has the 3.4 V6 and T5 trans, the MGB guys go crazy for those things. More swaps are being done with that package than the old Rover V8 nowadays. Somebody could cross post it over on British V8 or MG experience and it will go quick.

To all the convertible haters, have you owned one? Ever driven with the top down on a warm, sunny day. Driving a convertible makes you more involved in the experience around you. A coupe, well that's one step from a video game.

1995 could have either the 3.4 or 3.8. A quick photo of under the hood or the VIN will do it.

OK, so I've got a 4th gen Crammit with front end damage, but pristine floors and rear quarters. Brian's car looks to be the exact opposite. Not exactly a bolt together affair, but if anyone is serious about building that thing for the Challenge, you're welcome to come grab my hulk for parts (caveat is you must haul, as I have no trailer.) I can throw in sway bars and some other goodies as well. I think the LS1 brakes and aluminum driveshaft should be an upgrade, not sure what else would. I don't exactly have an abundance of spare time to donate, but maybe could do a weekend or something.

Just throwing it out there...

He was a school teacher, yes? What about pooling resources, tapping into his students, and helping them finish it?

I was pondering purchasing it and then donating it back to the job core program and then funding a challenge build. I would need to talk to sesto about it as they may not really want that.

Trying to be carful to understand that what I would want and think would be cool may not be in line with the mission of the program that Brian was teaching. It also may be better to let the kids move on from loosing Brian than to have them live with the constant reminder of him through the car.

Some tough decisions that I am not qualified nore do I have the right to make or impose on others.
