Hopefully he will learn from this. The laws of physics don't care how far up the food chain you are.

Bah, it's not that hard. Here's an early 911, that was similarly bent, that I did a number of years ago before they were valuable enough to matter:

Cold race tires, wet, cold pavement and driving above the limits of the conditions.

I feel sorry for his passenger, I'm sure she was terrified when she saw they were sliding sideways into a semi.

And here's the full video of the crash.

Sucks for the car to be damaged by such poor choices. I hate to see it. Seems no matter how old you are, trying to impress a girl with your driving never turns out good.

After watching the video, I know why Magnus spun...

... he was trying to find the "e" that the reporter kept losing.

Seems like guys named Walker have some bad luck with Porsches. Magnus was luckier than Paul.

So, what you all are saying is a guy in an early 911 got bitten by trailing throttle oversteer...That's gotta be headline news, I think.

The comments at the end of this make me giggle. People get SERIOUSLY bent about not putting the uh on the end of Porsh.
Aside from that, it didn't look like he had enough room to stop the car even if he hadn't gone sideways. Without open road next to the transport (which he didn't have) he was going to hit something. I'm glad he didn't collect any other cars or bystanders.

I guess he was in town to celebrate the grand opening of the Porsche dealer/training center. Friend of mine works there.

Right? When I first saw the GIF I was afraid he was going to hit the Pagoda, AND the trailer, AND hurt someone. He's lucky he got away with two out of three...

How would you feel if people pronounced your name wrong for 67 years

You are still pronouncing it wrong. E at the end of a word in Deutsch is "eh" not "uh" or "ah."

I'm guessing the driver's seat cushion on that Mercedes needs replacing now.

Luckily that the Mercedes was already hugging the curb, had it been in the middle of the lane as is traditional, this would be a very different story.

Glad nobody got hurt. That's a direct hit to the ego. Eyes on the road, not the passenger. If you're gonna hoon, at least have a spotter and move the stacker.

I'm conflicted by Mr. Walker. Every interview I've heard, he seems like a great guy. He has great taste in cars. I get cognitive dissonance from the public hooning videos (watch out for pedestrians @ 2:26)...doesn't seem to mesh with the rest of the persona.

It looks like the Merc jinked right within the lane when 277 was losing it around the bend.

I think it's cool that he's a "self-made man" and started with nothing, but I really don't understand what's so cool about him. He just seems like an old hippie who buys old 911s and does a few barely-noticeable mods to them.

Now RWB Porsches I can understand!

I'll admit that I'm a bit jealous of the man, but no more so than other people who are living the dream. This is a case of a smart guy doing something that he should know better than to do. It happens. How much money is Tiger Woods paying his ex-wife?

I remember when he started his thread on Pelican (or shortly after) He really was just a guy who had already made it in life playing with cars. He'd been club racing and messing with them for years. I'm not sure if it was the thread that did it, but right around that time people really started to notice what he was doing. Remember, this guy made his fortune figuring out what was cool and having people pay him for it. Whereas most of us would just say thanks and continue playing with our cars, he's turned it into something huge.
If you bastards decided that I was a brilliant Grosh designer and all of a sudden wanted to pay me to 'design' for you, I'd probably say yes.

You will find mixed opinions of his builds anywhere, but that's beside the point. Love his work or hate it, driving like an asshat in traffic on public roads deserves nothing but condemnation.

Kind of like the Ken Block hate I think. Self-made men who also happen to like cars. Both living the life most, if not all of us, would live, given the resources. Are there things each does that may be different than we'd do? Sure, but that's life.

In this instance, it seems like Walker messed up. In the video going around, as he pulls out of the dealership, the hauler is sitting there already. Not sure how long he was gone, but he had to know it was there.
