NOT A CANOE! I swear.

So, I saw an advert for this thing called MAV TV- channel 214 on my directv. Maybe all is not lost with the speed channel going away? I flipped to it, and got treated to some dirt track sprint cars.... after that is some endurocross, and after that is drag boats. We might get lucky here.....

I also heard rumors of WRC and some other things. This seems positive.

Brighthouse has MAV too but I don't currently pay for the channel

Yes, they have WRC, though it's not an HD signal, which is disappointing. Still, better than nothing.

It's owned by Forrest Lucas so expect the Lucas sponsored racing series and Lucas adverts. I asked this question in the Speed thread but no one replied.

According to tvracer.com they have been carrying the full WRC season. Unfortunately my cable isn't providing it yet.

As the OP indicated, it's 214 on DirecTV, not 241. Yes, they show WRC, also some other good racing. So between NBCSN, Mav, and Velocity (and Fox1 for sports cars) we are still getting good coverage, you just have to hunt (and pay) for it. Rallye Deutchland tonight at 7 PM Eastern on MAV.
