Replaced the battery in my gf's Mazda 3 and now the remote start will not work. I read in the manual that I must start the vehicle with the key after the battery has been disconnected before using the remote start. Well I tried that with no luck. I've also disconnected the batter and reconnected it with the key in the ignition but that did not work either. When I try to use the remote start the dash lights come on and I hear the fuel pump cycle but the engine does not crank at all. There is a red flashing light on the dash the shape of the car with a key in the center. The remote start worked fine before swapping the battery.
Any ideas?
