With friends like this..................
Thank god I now know how bad that turns out so I don't have to convince one of my friends to try it.
Man that's crazy how fast he was accelerated! I love that his friends immediately start laughing even though it was amazingly violent and had to be a shock to all of them. Unless they had done it before and knew exactly what was going to happen...which would just be cruel...
i get the impression that the guy that sat on the airbag is one of those people that will do anything that his friends tell him to do just so they will be his friends. so i'm torn- on the one hand, this is funny as hell, on the other hand i feel sorry for that guy...
That was awesome.
Guess I was a bit naive to the power of an airbag. I had no idea it would launch him like that.
I was afraid it was going to go off when he had his head bent down over it... not that what actually happened was any better.

ditto... I had no idea they were THAT powerful... knew that if you sat too close you could get hurt... but WOW
I went through an airbag school way back when and they deployed one the wrong way so we could see first hand how dangerous those things can be. Since then, I have had a healthy respect for them. I know of one instance where an insurance adjuster leaned into a wrecked car through the drivers' window and turned the ignition switch on to get the mileage, the driver's bag deployed and killed him. That's why the odometer on cars now illuminate when the door is opened.
Figuring the bag probably has at least 10 psi gas in it, and the contact patch with the driver is (rounding down) about a square foot, that's 144 sq in, or 1440 lbs total... In the case of the rocket scientist above, it's kinda like getting an enema from a Lotus Super Seven.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I love that one, I'm a 30 y/o child...

I'm in the same boat. To me, it borders on barbaric to laugh at a guy who obviously got berkeleyed up pretty badly like that. Seems like a really strange lack of human compassion going on there.
I found it WAY more disturbing than funny--and I think Jackass is hilarious.
