Does anybody know if the 500E uses a the same transmission as a normal Benz?
I thought all the w124s used the 4g, but i cant claim to be a 500E expert. While i have laid hands on more than a few w124s I have only ever seen 1 500e.
I still kick myself for not buying it.
Yes, it is the same as a normal benz tranny. The tranny in certain R129s or 400e are the same exact thing.
Not sure if this is relevant, but I knew a guy who did nothing but Mercedes automatic transmission rebuilds. He said that if people would just change the fluid yearly, he'd be out of work.
