One of these has popped up on Kijiji locally. I saw it a while ago and it's still around. I was thinking about adding it to the fleet. Would make an awesome tow vehicle (yes, roll your eyes, but in Canada we tow with smaller cars).
Does anybody know anything about these? How expensive are they to keep up? Any problem issues?
Thanks as always.

I drove a stripped one when new. I loved it. Cool toys, even without options. I asked the dealer about towing, and he said they only rate the ML and G for towing, but it should be fine. (I was asking about towing a kayak trailer, which doesn't really weigh anything.) I don't have much more to add, I'm afraid.

It was a cheap Mercedes from an era when their quality had gone way downhill. I'd be wary of it, but it wouldn't stop me from buying it altogether. Unfortunately I can't tell you anything of any substance.

from what i remember of the kompressor motors the superchargers were absolute junk
We have a 04 C230 Coupe. My wifes car, we love it. Got about 80K mi, only problem areas, cup holder, just today my wife agreed to remove the fancy pop up one, $78 to replace for like the 4th time. Both doors needed to have the power lock replaced because there is an issue with the mechinisim not being lubed properly which caused drag which drove the microswitch nuts. So $400 to pay someone to change it out. Today her complaint about a rattling noise on start up turned out to be """" the alternator pulley clutch"""" WTH, but anyway $338. So in the last 8 yrs we've spent maybe $1000 on repairs.
The car drives great, the SC 4 gets 31mpg on the highway, my wife hit over 100 mph on the Montana freeway without even realizing it. Carries lots of stuff in the hatchback. I have Autoxed it and did my first HPDE in it. Only concern is the trailer hitch, I think you could find one but they aren't really common ya know.
Oh yea, the engine earlier were 2.3 but in 04 went to 1.9 lt. Same 190 hp, and due to the sc needs premium fuel.
