Heh. I have a vision of attending an all-Italian car meet and being made to park outside because the Italian-sourced content is so low!

I'm hesitant to tell you what my latest ideas are, because one can only throw out so many plans before one gets known as a talker and not a doer.

Pretty much all you need for a VW transaxle is a pair of discs with one side machined to bolt up to the VW CV joint flange on the trans and the other side machined for the Miata axle shaft to bolt up. Once you have a pair of those you can measure how much difference in width the overall flanges have vs the stock Miata diff and adjust the width of your subframe by the amount.

I wonder how much difference in weight there would be in a formula vee built with Miata suspension at both ends, and how much actual difference there would be in lap times.
