More tire questions:
The 07 Odyssey currently wears (I believe) Cooper GLS Touring tires. This is the lowest thing the Cooper offers (offered?) it appears. They ar round, black, and hold air (mostly).
Anyway, the outside & inside shoulder of all 4 tires is destroyed. The centers are still above the wear bars. Alignment is ok. It seems to me that under-inflation is what this would normally be attributed to? That is plausible, however we've had the car for ~20k of their life and while 1 tire periodically goes low & gets refilled in the winter when the TPMS light comes on, the other 3 hold air. All 4 are consistently worn like this.
Is this a product of this tire just having weaker sidewalls so I should be running greater than the recommended pressures (35psi)? Could this also be a symptom of the gross tire width/wheel size mismatch that this car comes with? 235/65 on a 6.5" wheel. Is there anything I'm missing?
The car is due for tires and I don't want to repeat this on the next set.
