eastsideWife's VW GTI has an oil leak, apparently from the front timing cover. The dealership has replaced the gasket three times (at least the last two were free), and the last time around, they contacted VW to see if something was causing the problem, and replaced the PCV valve, as there was suspicion it was clogged, and causing enough crankcase pressure to blow out the gasket.
Well, it appears to have started leaking again, about 2 weeks after the last replacement. We haven't driven the car much, so I am hoping it is just some leftover oil that was on the block. We'll take it back to the dealer if it keeps up, but I'm curious if anyone else has had this problem, and what ended up fixing it. It is not a huge leak, but still, I'd like it dealt with.
