Going to look at a 87 Yoter with a 90 parts car.
What should I look out for? I am fairly certain they will follow me home, unless something is absolutely wacked out with them. What should I look into after I own them?
Thanks for the advice.

I had a lot of fun with mine... 140 came up pretty easy.
watch for blown head gaskets. when it goes, replace with better studs
The engines aren't as strong as the mkIV cars, but the later engines swap in fairly easily. Are you going with a turbo car or non turbo? Also auto or manual? The name supra means that most people will push the price up on parts, well for junk yards anyway, even for the 3rd gen cars.
Andrew
It is a 5M-GE (non-turbo), with a 5 speed, I would never buy an auto, no matter how good the price was.
Its a 7M-GE. The head gasket thing is why Im having a compression test done on it before you get here. I bought it the first time without checking. I paid the price for not knowing about them before I bought it. I want you to know what you are getting. Like I said the engine with a bad rod and NEW head is out of a '91 Cressida. The "good" engine is out of a '90 n/a supra which I was told was good. Thats why im checking it before I sell it. I sent you an email.

here is the parts car. This car had a 2JZ in it. Then it was stripped out and they put it in a '95 RX7.
if I recall, the 7M-GE and 7M-GTE share the lower end. I believe both used forged pistons. mine was an N/A as well

close to Mustangs and F-bodies....just quicker
Like everybody else said watch out for blown head gaskets. I seem to see more MKIIIs with BHG than runners!

I came very close to getting one back in high school as a fixer car. I'll always have a softspot for them; they were always my first choice of beginning car in Gran Turismo
Also there is one at a local parts yard that has all the interior in it.
Name of the place is CJ's 423 867 8727
Also here is a 5.3 LS engine with wiring for 500 bucks
