Wife has an '08 Jetta 2.5 since new, she's somewhat attached to it and plans on keeping it in the family for a while just curious how any of you other owners out there fared with them. Our's has just over 90k on it, trouble free for the most part (knock on wood). I've only had to replace the rear brakes last year, just did plugs, air filters, and recently serviced the trans 6 sp auto (VAG was nice enough to add a drain plug on it). I do have to replace the CV's on it due to the outer boot tearing away at the shaft(been like this for prob 20k miles now actually) just started to make noise on the pass side full lock. Still on OEM front brakes, which are getting thin but I have the parts for them on shelf.
