Those who proudly drive vehicles with the Mopar M seem to march to the beat of their own drummer. Want an example? How about three race cars from the SCCA Time Trials Nationals at NCM Motorsports Park?

Mopar people are weird people to begin with, so are their cars.
Regular MoPar guys make hardcore Pontiac guys look sane.
We need an article about that Challenger.
Are Mopar racers just different? Yes.

Yes indeed! This makes two votes.
Who else would hide a gas tank up under the dash?

Sorry that's a DSM not a Mopar.
My friend dailies a Pacifica and shows taillights to quite a few "fast" cars on tracks.

What? Crazy for trying to make more than double the stock horsepower out of an engine designed in 1959 with a bunch of junkyard parts and several bits of Wal-Mart cookware? What if I told you crazy was paying as much as a radiator, an alternator, a water pump, and a crankshaft position sensor cost put together every month for six whole years to drive a Nissan Rogue, then selling it and getting an even bigger car payment because you're afraid you can't afford the cost of repairs?
I'm not sure the world is exactly sane, but Mopar fans certainly have a tendency to find their own sort of crazy instead of copying everyone else's crazy.
I think it's the torsion bars.

Even Lancia is Mopar now.
Back in the day they rolled out the factory with better hardware. If you had a Chevy, you had to use Bow tie heads to get angled plugs and better ports. Chrysler had them stock. Rocker studs flexing? Chrysler had rocker shafts as factory; don't need for a stud girdle. Want better leaf springs? Go to the dealer. Better cam? They had a "purple " cam. Even your own article about the Challenger listed a mix of parts that were available from the factory for better handling. The only drawback was the cost of Chrysler aftermarket parts. Even Petty Enterprises switched to Pontiac for a while.

TIL a Dodge Intrepid was somehow DSM...
Arguably Intrepids are derived from the Renault 25 by way of the Eagle Premier.

Do keep us posted of your progress! And before you ask, no you cannot nail the cones to the track surface.

I don't even know what in the hell is going on there but I love everything about it.
Mopar people are weird but very fun to party with. FWD Mopar people are the super concentrated powdered version of Mopar people
