More news from IMSA:
"The International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) received notifications over the last 24 hours of the following changes to its race schedule through the end of April.
"The Grand Prix of St. Petersburg (Mar. 13-15) and the Grand Prix of Alabama (April 3-5) will not take place as previously scheduled. This unfortunate news impacts the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama (GPSP and GPA) and Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America (GPA).
"IMSA also received public notification late yesterday afternoon from the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach organizers that this year’s event will not take place as previously scheduled from April 17-19.
"The event promoter is currently in ongoing conversations with the City of Long Beach, Long Beach Convention Center and the impacted race sanctioning bodies to discuss alternate options and the viability of rescheduling this event at a later time in 2020. If that is not possible, then we look forward to participating in the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach on April 16-18, 2021.
"IMSA will promptly communicate any updates as further information is made available."
24 Hours of Lemons to take a monthlong hiatus, impacting events scheduled for Willow Springs, NOLA and Autobahn.
From today's release signed by Jay Lamm:
"We want to be racing. But we also need to accept our responsibility, and right now it appears that means keeping people distanced so that med workers, first responders, test kits, and other resources have a chance to keep up the crisis. I don’t wanna get sick, and you don’t wanna get sick, but what we really don’t want is everyone else getting sick and then not having the resources they need to get better.
"Starting today, Lemons will stop racing for a month–ie Willow Springs, NOLA, and Autobahn are affected. We’re talking to tracks as I write this in hopes we can get quickly rescheduled."
Mecum's sale in Glenndale, Arizona, is still open this weekend. From the Mecum site:

We encourage our customers to do the same. We will dutifully comply with any decisions made by the cities and venues where we conduct business. Our auction schedule remains unchanged at this time."
From the Lane Motor Museum's Facebook page:
"Due to recent concerns with Coronavirus spreading throughout Nashville, we have made the following decisions concerning the museum: our children's play area will be closed until further notice; all vault tours will be cancelled until further notice; and there is a possibility that we will postpone our upcoming Start Your Engines event on Saturday, March 21. We will continue to monitor the situation and release updates as soon as we have them. Thank you for your understanding."
Just got the email that all Track Night in America events that were scheduled for the month of March are suspended.
Bummer.
Daytona Bike Week, including coleslaw wrestling, sound like it's continuing.
From the Daytona Beach News-Journal:
"The CDC’s recommendations for social distancing were also nowhere in sight this week during the very up close and personal coleslaw wrestling matches at the Cabbage Patch Bar in Samsula. Attendance has been as high as ever for the matches between women rolling around in 2,000 pounds of shredded cabbage and oil, and Saturday’s final competition is still a go."
