Hey guys,
Looking at potentially moving an old Mazda truck from NC to MA. It's currently not a runner, and also comes with a fair amount of spares. What is the best way to do something like this? I no longer have a tow vehicle, but I could possibly borrow my sister's Toyota Tacoma, and maybe a trailer from a friend, but right now I can't count on either. Could one fly to the Charlotte area and then rent a uhaul truck and trailer and drive them one way, or is that frowned upon? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Uhaul goes 1 way no problems.

The only uhaul problem can be the price! One way rentals cost a lot more than round trips.
Take the Wheels offer. His price will be cheaper and you'll be in good hands. That brings it close enough that you can go down and get it from him with a borrowed truck. If needed you can do a uhaul trailer rental when you drop off and pick up at the same place. These are cheap, like $60 per 24 hour day. You just have to tow the empty trailer down with you. But, they tow well empty.

If the timing doesn't work out with wheels, another option is if you can find the right combo for uHaul to rent you a trailer to tow behind the Tacoma. Then you can do a 1 way rental and save fuel, tolls, and aggravation on the drive south to get the truck.
When I was looking in the spring it was about $250 to rent a car trailer from them 1 way from FL to MA.
If it works out with wheels777 or anyoneelse coming through pa south, i may ask a really wierd favor....
I grew up with Lebanon bologna at my grandmother's house in Harrisburg pa. Only place ive ever seen it, and honestly until recently thought i remembered the name wrong.
I really want some, and ill be helping brother Dustin load the mazda onto whatever trailer arrives.
I would happily pay for the bologna and your effort to see if its as good as i remember from being little.
U haul one way is expensive, but they do it.
I'm using a uhaul trailer tomorrow and going about 600 miles round trip. It's a $54.95 local rental though. It'll just be empty half the trip.
