Here is my X1/9. It is mostly stock, with the exception of Megasquirt and the supporting modifications for it.
Crap, gotta resize them. Thumbnails no worky.
She needs some body work, paint, crank wheel (so I can spark it!), bumper delete, and a turbo.
I've been looking for a project that is a little more 'needy' than my WRX. I've had a bunch of MR2s, and I have been keeping an eye out of an opportunistic buy on an X1/9. I don't know a thing about them, but I presume they like to rust.
How did you get into X1/9s?

I found it on Craigslist one day.
They wanted $1600 (dude was crazy) and I took it home for $800.
I'll get my pics resized sometime today.
This is the bels looking X1/9 I've ever SEEN
Click little picture of camera. Paste URL for photo. Repeat.
Better yet, post it to reader rides, and let it take care of the resizing for you.

I'm so envious..... I'd sell my arm for another X.... Not many around the SE, or so it seems..
Dan, where in the SE are you? I sold the last 25 I had, but I know a fellow in the Atlanta area that has a half dozen or so

The stock clutch will only handle about 10 lbs of boost. 15 and you can make one of those run pretty darn well.
I'm not grasping why the megasquirt since it looks like it had Bosch EFI, which is very reliable and adequate for turbo-ing.
The Bosch Jetronic box died on me and I couldn't find a replacement.
I have a 79 X for sale with Dodge 2.2 turbo intercooler, roll cage, slicks, fuel cell. Car is all sorted out ready to run comes with trailer $3000 email me for more info and pics.

Looks great! Have fun with it. Faded red is cool. Mine was two-tone root beer metallic and diarrhea brown. Three-tone if you count the rust.

LOL, I wish I had xtra cash for the X, you have any pics?
OK, gratuitous X1/9 post.
m4ff3w I may have to ask you a few questions if and when I decide to ditch my dual DCNF40's for some ITB's and megsquirt.
Your X is the sex.
What suspension do you have on there?

Pete Rozboril is in Roswell, GA, just north of Atlanta, when I stopped tracking down all orphan X's and sold my '87 with 1500 miles on it to him, he took over tracking down orphans. Last e-mail I have for him is rozboril (at) mindspring (dot) com Tell him I sent you, he can probably hook you up or point you in the right direction. Good luck!

With no intention to hijack the thread, how do you like the Sumitomo's?
Didn't you go with the 215/50-13's?
