I liked the cars of the movie "Harper". These are the only pics I could find of the Merc and Ranchero. =~ (
Getting back to movies about cars, how about “1:42.08 to Qualify” by a young George Lucas and staring a young Peter Brock?
king of the mountain is a good one for that list, others have mentioned it so.
took too long to mention American graffiti? and nobody mentioned the movie... CARS?!
fun notable mention is dude wheres my car (its about cars, right?)
hit and run is great and its oddly pointed at me (interested in cars, education in psychology & behavior)
le Mans is great because the script was written after filiming so its mostly cool car shots with little plot connecting them. def a McQueen passion project and we're greateful for it

I don't know how I missed out on it all these years, but I just saw this recently. I'd count it. It was NOT what I was expecting. I enjoyed it.
The life of a repo man is always intense.
We saw it soon after it came out. I remember the three of us watching it on the VCR. Easily a life-altering movie. Killer soundtrack, too.
American Sharks made a homage to it.
I was out and about last weekend, and look what I found:
I felt it was overpriced at $55 and more in VG condition than NM, but it was a) at a fancy antique mall and b) it's the Repo Man soundtrack, and it rules.

I have a vinyl called Shut Down that features that song on it that my dad left behind when my parents split in the 70s. Didn't learn about the movie until about a decade ago. Been singing the words to that song most of my life. That, Black Denim Trousers and Motorcycle Boots, and Chicken. So many of these songs contributed to my early auto fascination.
I know have it on CD as well.
