Damn insurance auctions. 04 Sentra SpecV, bright yellow, with the left front suspension bent/broken and the fender and mirror bent.
Like I need another bloody car.

Sweet! Brembos too! They are pretty darn quick even with just bolt-ons. A former co-worker's son used to smoke his uncle and brother-in-law in their Mustang Mach1 and Camaro, respectively.

If thats still got the original SR20, then upwards of 170 with some work. Near 200 is possible if you break into the guts and start bumping compression/stroke, wild cams, tune, lighten flywheel etc. Boost? Up to the moon...

Those didn't come with SR20s.
That's a QR25 car. I think they were around 175 stock, wondering if 200whp is pretty doable with intake, header, exhaust, tune.

$1225 Canadian dollars, and yes, its totaled. The title will be branded from here on. Around here, it should be worth somewhere on the high side of $5k fixed, so unless there are some nasty surprises underneath, I should be able to make reasonable money on it.
In reply to Streetwiseguy:
Aren't they sill popular racers? You should do a Wheeler-dealer special and do some good upgrades and sell for $6k. Especially since you areadly are getting into hardware that needs fixed.
Otherwise, challenge car.
Those cars are very fast even stock.
Last weekend at the local autocross, the only cars (in stock class) that were faster than my bone stock (down to the 70K old shocks and Dunlops D1s) 2006 Spec-V, in raw time, were: S2000, miata (turbo), C5 Corvette (on hugh hoosiers), Mazdaspeed 3 and a BMW 1M. And it's not because I'm a great driver.
So that was the second fastest FWD car there after the ridiculously powerful Mazdaspeed 3 (with a better driver). And the Spec-V has a crummy suspension. But the great torque and HLSD make it fast.

Yeah, couldnt remember when the switch occurred. I kinda lost interest in Sentras after B13...

200 at the crank is doable without difficulty, 200whp requires more than bolt ons. The QR just wheezes out in the higher RPMs. The best part is the low end torque though. Honda fanboi's would soil themselves if their B series could make half the torque of a QR. As a side bonus, Spec V's have a notchy but decent 6 speed and a LSD.
EDIT: Also - turbo = 260+
EDIT part deux: Unless my eyes deceive me, that car has the Brembo brake package. Brakes alone used to go for around $400 on the B15 forums.
