At the age of 16 I joined the Buxton Volunteer Fire Department. My father at the time was a Captain and as of today has 47 years of service with the department. I was a member for 7 years, getting all my training to earn my Red Tag. I also trained for my B Class License and Emergency Vehicle Operations. My favorite apparatus was or 1967 Kaiser Jeep M715. She's got a 2bbl 350 swap and 38s. In my 7 years I put hundreds of miles on that old Jeep in training and I even drove it to a brush fire and a truck fire. I got married today to an amazing woman that I love with all my heart and here we are in my favorite fire truck.
Lookin' good!
Wishing you many happy miles, literally and romantically.
Awesome on both counts!
Edit: wait, today? What the berk are you doing online on your wedding night? We can wait, dude!
Very cool. Hopefully your domestic maintenance is as easy as working on a 5/4 ton with a small block.
Some days mine feels closer to Ferrari "engine out" service, but I like working on E36 M3, haha.
Edit to add: wife and I got married, on the sound in Buxton, on our 11th anniversary of dating (started early) and that was 13 years ago...so next year marks 25 years together for us.
Congratulations! Mrs VCH and I celebrate the dozen in a couple weeks. October is the best month to get married. Here's to many miles in front of you both.

My dream truck is a Cummins swapped J20 Jeep.
Mrs. Chandler and I will celebrate 22 years later this month, great way to start and congratulations!
Congrats!!
My son was flower dude in a friend's FD wedding yesterday, they brought out an engine to do some wedding party pictures on our town square in front of the old 1800s FD building but I haven't seen any pictures yet.
October 8 is a great day to get married, Mrs Hotel and I are at 35 years today.
Congratulations!

Thank you for all the well wishes and stories.
This is a car forum so I will sign off this thread with the new FIL's car. Nova SS, 350, 4speed. Pretty fun on the back roads of Lancaster County.

I love this.
My wish is for your marriage to be as happy as ours.
Twenty eight years, and every anniversary I tell her that it's a good start.
Congratulations!
The perfect combination. A good woman and a good vehicle. You cracked the code to happiness.
Congratulations. I wish you a long and happy marriage, with more high points than lows, and overflowing with love.
Now I want an Apple Ugly, congratulations!
