So I have a 90 with only 268K miles and the short nose issue has finally arrived. Sad with so little miles.
Anyway I am wondering what parts can swap to a NB. List below.
V-Maxx Stage 2 with all new rubber bushing from FM.
Hard Dog Double Something or other roll bar.
FM Frame rails.
Thanks!
Yes.
Depends on if it's an NB bar - otherwise you can't use the glass rear window.
Yes.

How good is the rest of the 90? Swapping a later engine into the NA could be anywhere from "order the parts from FM and drop it in" to roll-your-own VVT swap...
Double Diagonal bar. I think the main thing that makes it an NA vs. NB bar is the harness bar in the lower back. If I recall, that's what gets in the way of the glass window.
I've done an NB drivetrain swap into an NA chassis. I'd rather move that short list of parts onto a fresher, newer car.

My 90 I have had for a very long time and at 268K it feels like driving a floppy shoe. On a related note when did Hella Dumb crowd decide the answer is a Miata for yo driftin'.......now it is hard to find a nice older one:-(
If you know of a good one in the Seattle are please PM me.
The difference between an NA and NB bar isn't just the harness bar, although that's one factor. The rear uprights are sometimes a different shape to allow the glass window to lay flat. The Sport bars show this - the rear braces are bent on the NB version. FYI.
Buying advice: If you are buying a roll bar for your Miata and want to be as future-proof as possible, get an NB bar. It'll work fine on an NA.
