I drive by this every once in a while. I dont know what it is, but its shape is compelling. From what I can see its in absolutely terrible shape and has been left to die.

Good luck. Regardless of condition, people tend to believe E-types are worth a fortune...
Non-functional 12 cylinder E-type in a neighborhood of portable homes. That's some good thinking right there.

You'd be surprised. Last "manufactured home" neighborhood I lived in had stuff like that. Folks had inherited stuff when their parents died, and held on to it because it "..might be worth something one day..". Never saw an E-type, though.

Your answer is better than mine, too.
All i know is i would be beating on some doors finding out who owns that complete cars that look like that bring 10k all day long any more they are very hot
10k for that pos? I don't know if you can see in the picture but there is a HUGE dent in the hood. Like a dent so deep it makes you wonder if a motor is still under there. Are those aluminum bodied? hard to believe its not rusted out. At any rate I'm sure the interior is toast from being stored under a holy tarp for many years.
I'm not sure you wanna go knocking on too many doors around where that thing is. The funny part is that the parking lot behind it is a big lots and I actually took the picture from the parking lot of a pop eyes. There is a sweet old toyota supra on the other side of the pop eyes in some sort of impound lot.
And of course, that comment was worthless without pics:
Popeyes. Good chicken, good fries, good atmosphere. Jaguars, supras, and a lawn mower repair shop, and all the sawdust furniture and missewn clothing $19.43 can buy next door.

10K for a basket case Series 3? I know the early cars are going for stupid money these days, but I thought the V12s were an exception. Have I just not been paying attention lately?
try to find one running for under 30k not a 2+2 but a roadster. i have a friend who sold one at christmas for 90k. i have seen guys spend unbelievable money for rotted out hulks.......the average auction price for e type roadsters over the last three years is 62k
Series III cars have always been cheap compared to the early cars, but they have been creeping up over the past few years. I was thinking that it would be a fun car for an LSx swap, but the buy-in is just way too high.
I can't find any online in even close to as bad of shape as that one is in to have any gauge of market prices on basket cases.
Cutter seems to be on the mark. Current Hemmings ads for a V12 E (and I selected 1974 in the search to make sure I was only looking at V12s).

In reply to andrave:
Neither can I. The link to Hemmings is actually all running cars, not yard finds.
I was sad, there was one of the hard tops by me that homeowners found when the trimmed the shrubs at their house......I was going to stop by and offer them cash for it(to build into a d-typeish clone), but it was gone before I made it back.
