I'm going to be in the Nashville (Franklin) area next week and want to try to pick up a rust free truck pickup or 1 ton dump. I've got the CL/auto trader etc../ebay sites covered. But beyond that, can anyone in that area give me any tips on places to look, dealers or private? Just trying to make the most efficient use of my time.
This place is about 40 miles west of Nashville, but has some good solid trucks from time to time. I like to browse there lot. Unfortunately it looks like they're light on inventory now, but they get new stuff in pretty often.

My ideal would be a 3/4 ton 4x4 crew cab long bed truck with a gas engine. But I'll consider others. I need a heavier duty pickup that will carry four people. I'd even consider a dump truck if it did what I need, since I also have a use for a dump. But no 1/2 tons and no short beds.

When I lived in Tennessee, (Nashville, Murfreesboro, Morristown, Erwin) I always drove to Atlanta to buy. Cheaper.
And no crust on cars.
