I'm guessing you work at a dealer.

To Oldeskewltoy: when I bought my first Denali (used) I woke up later that night panicking because I didn’t remember seeing any 4x4 buttons let alone a transfer case lever. I thought I might’ve just bought a 2wd Suburban. It’s a simple mistake for busy people to make and I’m a life-long 4x4 fanatic.
That's what the old roommate had. Not sure how putting new tires catches the switcheroo but it does.

Not at all, I just take responsibility if I mess up. Telling me to stfu when I point out a lie is uncalled for.
I just pulled the window sticker for my FiST.
There is a section that says "Price information"
First is Base price xxxxxxx. Doesn't say MSRP
Total options/other xxxxxxx
Total vehicle an options/other xxxxxxxx
Destination and delivery xxxxxx
Then down in the lower corner in a red label with white lettering is,
Total MSRP xxxxxxx
At the top it lists basic powetain info like engine and transmission.
So maybe this would have helped, maybe not.
I am glad he got the "mistake" resolved.
If you look at the sticker he posted, it says MSRP, then lists options, then total MSRP, so again, nothing was "hidden" it is right there on the sticker. He'd rather play victim then admit he messed up.
the wife is home from her vacation...
Yes - there is a small AWD under the Mazda3 badge.
Yes - there is an AWD drivetrain.
Yes - having now driven both, the awd does feel more sure footed, inspires more confidence.
stfu was excessive - apologies to GRM
I have never heard the expression “Total MSRP” relative to just MSRP until this thread. I’m not saying that it’s never crossed a desk in front of me, but I’ve never noticed it before. To the best of my recollection, it was always Base Price, plus optional equipment and then MSRP.
In reply to Woody :
I haven’t heard of total MSRP either, but I just checked the oldest window sticker I have from my 2004 M3 and its there.
I guess I never paid attention.

Nah dude. Customer orders awd through the first party, so what happens from there is an error on somebody else's part.
I occasionally used the same cheap E36 M3 excuse from time to time, but the reality is that at the point I didn't send what the customer asked for, it sure as hell wasn't his fault.
What do you do when you berk it up?

Bro,
You better watch out, your going to get the Hysterical Sisters on your case.
What do you expect of a guy who:
1.) doesn’t understand how the Costco program works
2.) can’t read a sales order
3.) doesn’t understand the concept of Base MSRP + options + delivery = total MSRP
4.) took a week to understand he bought a FWD car when he wanted an AWD.
On top of it all, he comes on here crying that the dealer did something wrong when he had to sign multiple documents acknowledging which car he was buying.
