on my mom's 2004 Buick Rendezvous with the 3400 engine, there is a connection at the top of the water pump housing for both the heater hose and the bleed screw. In this picture you can see it as the black tube that goes straight up and is secured with a single 10mm bolt.
The seal inside it perished, but I cannot find a part number for it. Anybody in the hive happen to have access to a parts book or know off hand exactly what it is called so I can get it? I have it permatexed to hell right now, but I would prefer to fix it properly.
I would think so.. but it looks more like a thick (wide) rubber band than am o-ring

1 bolt means there is not much pressure. Find a O-ring that is similar, load up the outside with RTV, put it in there and forget about it.
Edit - It looks like that is what you did... go with it.

That is because it is worn out. When they are new, they look like O-rings.
They come with every intake gasket set. I've never seen one leak before the intake did, although stranger things have happened. Right Stuff it and slap it back in the hole and get on with trying to bleed the cooling system.
it didn't leak until I had to manhandle the pipe to get the t-stat out. To judge by it though, it was going to happen soon
Here you go.
Wait, that's not you meant?
No, this is what he meant

Don't look at me. I was just having ice cream.
At least he didn't tell us about how he blew a seal!
