With my working on my trailer, I need to make up a set of 4 gaskets to mate the lights to the fenders. I was thinking rubber sheeting cut to fit, but what type? Grainger has a lot of options. This is more to make the finished product look "finished" than to seal any water out.
Neoprene is the basic go to material for rubber gaskets. Nitrile and EPDM are better against gas and oil.
I not only sell hoses but gaskets too!
Rubber roofing material is pretty damn handy to keep around, oughta work for that. I wouldn't order or pay for it though, commercial roofer oughta give ya cut offs. Buy 'em coffee.

When I had my back porch re-roofed, I saved the scraps of rubber roof the crew trimmed off. It's great stuff for this sort of application.
