I cant see the 17's being better performing under braking if you are running drum brakes all around. My BIL's 67 mustang has similar 17" wheels and maybe I am just not used to all drum brakes but I almost shat myself the first time I applied the brakes.

I've thought of that, but I'm hesitant to attempt to do it on what are virtually new wheels. The car is far from perfect, and the polished wheel lips just seem to overwhelm the rest of the car. Thing is, I'd have that problem with new TT's as well. How would you go about doing it?

I've got discs on the front. I haven't heard of detroit vintage wheels before. Thanks for the link! I think these might look good on it:
Oh yeah, hard to argue that.
If you have Facebook I think they might even have more photos of the inventory there. Their custom "magnesium cast" look that they have been doing lately on a couple sets of wheels is pretty awesome.

I don't think the original Torq-Thrust's are overdone. I can see that argument for the Torq Thrust II's though.

For some reason they just look right on old Mustangs. The Cragars actually have a backspacing that allows larger tires than the TT's. The 245's I have on the back wouldn't fit with TT's, but yet they look good on these cars.
IMO, it needs a set of magnum 500's

My order is #1, #2, #3... The gray on the TT's don't work for me with Prairie Bronze... but they look great on Wimbledon White...

Those aren't bullitt wheels, they're torque thrusts. There's a difference.

Highest quality adapters you can find and a set of 15" Porsche phone dials, please. Double bonus if you find 16"s and actually want to pay for them for this little project. Keep the white letters if you must, on that I have no opinion.
3,1,2. 1 and 3 are close, and I would paint 1 a lighter color before selling them to buy 3. I just greatly dislike dark wheels on most things.
One. Smaller wheels with big fat meats just look oh so right on classic cars.
