There is a TR8 for sale in Reno that I'm interested in. Anybody out there willing to do a basic walk around, maybe even facetime me from the car? I'm not expecting much from the car. Just need to know if its real, if its rusted, or if there is some glaring reason not to buy it. What is the best way to go about finding a shipper? Its near interstate 80 and that brings you all the way to Jersey. Major truck route. Tempted to do a fly and drive, but thats a lot of miles with no back up plan.
My ol' man lives there. He isn't an enormous gearhead and ain't much up on British sports cars but could prolly take a buncha pix...
I'm local-ish (Carson City). I can probably hop over and look at the car, but I'm traveling a lot for work atm so there might be a delay in me being able to do so.

BTW, in NV the plates stay with the owner (not that it does appear to be plated anyway, assuming I found the correct car) and you'd need a movement permit to drive it unless you'd want to register it in NV. Not sure if you can even do that from out of state. Shipper does sound like a better idea.

Got some pics and owner has agreed to face time me from the car. Got stuck working all day today, so I'm going to try later. Three hour time difference is working in my favor this time. Never shipped a car before. How does one go about getting quotes?
I'd look at uship.com unless you want to deal with the premium carriers like Reliable.
Oh, and let me know if you still need/want in-person GRM remote eyes on the car after the Facetime.
