High of 38 degrees in Pittsburgh, didn't stop us!
We had sun, but also winds and about 40F I think. The magnets weren't sticking to the car very well. Hockey puck tires. I only got 4 runs because of a shortage of safety stewards. Still better than a Monday at work.
The morning was 20 degrees but warmed up to 45 by early afternoon. Chilly but bearable. Ready for real warmth though!

Unless that's a rallycross, why would you even run in those conditions?

We've got the pad, conditions aren't dangerous, why wouldn't we run?
In the PNW if we canceled events like I've seen elsewhere we would get three autocrosses a year.
Heres an interesting way to look at it... Who starts their season earliest? Include the Latitude.
March 17th at 39.4 Latitude. We have done the slush-a-cross before.
Our first two events this year a couple weeks back got canceled due to snow. Apparently Hershey couldn't get the lots cleared in time, even though I'm reasonably sure the sun would have done most, if not all, the work for them...

I get it, but I sure wouldn't want to be first out in those conditions. The track would improve dramatically from car #1 to car #10.
Also, maybe I'm old, but my tolerance for standing around in that kind of weather for hours and hours for a chance to win a little plastic trophy is vanishingly small........
We in Kentucky were supposed to have a fun-run season opener on March 25th but the lot we use for that event has quite a few traffic islands. We had ice and snow the day before and between the misery of standing outside in that weather and the unacceptable risk of someone sliding their ride into a stationary obstruction (guess who gets to fill out the paperwork when that happens?) we decided to cancel it in favor of adding another event next month.
