They are great little cars. Vastly undervalued by the BMW community.

Out of the E36s.. they are one of the few models still commending a premium.

Lesson learned today: Tow Trucks are cheaper than uhaul. including the fuel in the pickup.. it cost me $300 to drive a pickup and a 12x6 trailer 128 miles.

Good news.. the car is sitting in front of my place. It will continue to sit there until I get my saab out of the garage sometime this year.

Pictures on the trailer:

Unfortunately, I put a nice crease across the driver's side front fender and door getting it off of the trailer. Not too big a deal, I can just reuse the stuff I have off of my current Ti

yea.. I am not too concerned. I was going to reuse my doors and stuff anyway, makes it easier to repaint to calypso. I was just more worried about hurting the rear fenders. Thankfully I was able to angle the trailer enough to get her off without a scratch.

For those that are wondering. I chained the car to a telephone pole at the end of my parking area (I really cannot call it a driveway) and slowly pulled the truck forwards till the front was hanging off. I then set up some cinderblocks under the front and then proceeded to slowly pull the truck ahead until the rear wheels rolled off of the trailer.

I will be hiring a rollback to move it the last mile to my garge in a month

At least now its at your house and you don't have to stress over getting in there anymore. If for whatever reason you need any parts I know somebody that is doing the same thing you are. Im sure they'll be parting out at some point.

I thought that Uhaul pickups do not have hitches on them.

They do have on some, they won't rent them to you with a car trailer though. Obviously we misled someone a wee bit in this case....
