We are looking at a new DD for my wife. It's a 2017 Lincoln MK-C suv. Does anyone have any experience or heard of any issues with these?

Lincoln version of the Ford Escape. I haven't heard anything bad about it, other than the 2019 got the much better (IMHO) grill, and in 2020 it is getting replaced with the still better looking Corsair.
Tangent: Does Lincoln have the best looking lineup from top to bottom of any non-specialty automaker? I personally think they do, which is an incredible statement to be coming from a 29 year old.
I think they're probably MORE reliable than the 1.6L Escapes. Semi-related, my buddies 2016 just went in for warranty trans replacement. At least it didn't leak one quart of coolant and then catch on fire somehow.
I think the MK-C looks great inside and out and I'm a pretty big fan of it from afar. I also agree that Lincoln has really got their stuff together on the looks front. They've been making really eye-catching stuff for most of a decade now.
50k into our 2015 awd 2.0. It's my wife's car, and she loves it. I was terrified of how expensive the ferro-whatever tune on the fly shocks would be whever they wore out, but I recently checked prices on rockauto, and they're cheaper than the Billy hd's I was shopping at the time for my bmw e46.
I do have concerns about the trans long term. Seemed the 2.3 is slightly much for it, but if you don't tow, probably fine.
Also, mtn is nuts, the original grill is way better than the new mesh ones. I think the horizontal slat design works best o the MKC vs. the rear of the lineup.
The soon to be ex has a '17 MKC. It's comfortable in the front seats not so much in the back, rides nicely and has plenty of power. I'm not a fan of Ford products at all but this one almost has me won over. It's good, feels like quality. No issues so far. The trans shifts a little harsh when cold but I haven't been in a Ford product that hasn't done that.
Boss had one of the 2015 or so vintage with (I think) the 2.0 turbo.
It was nice to ride in and seemed peppy enough. The inside was pretty nicely put together, and comfortable. Roomy enough for 4 average adult males.
He traded it in at 100,000 miles because he was having trouble with transmission flare and slippage. Almost all highway miles - his commute was something like 60 miles each way on the freeway.
