Hi, sponge here. Glad to be part of such a great community. If anyone needs to sell their Daytona Rolex 24 GRM corral tickets, I will be happy to take them off of your hands.

Make those cookies with peanut butter and chocolate and I'll introduce you to a guy that knows a guy that's married to a woman who's sister can put in a good word for you.

Even if you don't have a ticket for the GRM Experience, don't forget that you can still hang out in our tent, go on the tours, watch the race feed, etc. We just can't offer parking and dinner. Other than that, you can still be part of the crew. Don't forget your earplugs, and wear comfortable shoes.

Earplugs are for pansies. If it's too loud, you're too old!

Thanks Dave. Joe said the same. Can't believe they went so quick.

I bring protection. The ear kind because those damn rx8s hurt the drums. That and so I don't hear the race the day after.

Still lurking...

At the first track event I attended it was the Spec Miatas (Miatae?) that were the eardrum splitters. They were flying around the banked turns at Gateway International making more noise than I thought such a small car should be capable of producing.

Speaking of sound. Lots of new entries this year will surely bring the loud. Can't wait. Weather looks good too. Knocks on wood.

Last chance for unloading GRM tickets. Cheers to the student discount otherwise. I am way out of school, but hey, I look the same.

P.S. Hope that jackass who wrecked in the tunnel last year is banned. For life.

The EP RX7s were pretty loud at Gateway. Especially when your bosses is right outside your window in the motor slum.

My girlfriend and I didn't even use any ear protection at the 2007 US Grand Prix. F1 cars in an echoey circuit with walls on all sides? I can't think of anything better!

I never wear hearing protection at the races. When I can't hear what stupid people are saying when I'm 70, I'll be remembering the glorious sounds of my youth...

It's not the hearing loss that concerns me, it's tinnitus. I hear it's not pleasant.

Yep, tinnitus sucks. I have to sleep with a fan on. If it is really quiet, ringing seems louder. Damn F18s ruined my hearing.

After being around generators or big trucks my whole military career I use earplugs when I mow the grass. One thing that suprised me was when I started taking my boys to the track they did not give me any crap when I made them use ear plugs.

Speaking from experience, yes.....mine is not that strong, but it is always there....my fault for not using an angle grinder in the garage. Now - too late - I wear ear protection to keep it from getting worse.

Yeah, tinnitus is very irritating. Too many years flying in helicopters. And how certain noises can trigger tinnitus ringing. A childs screaming tantrum will set off ringing in my ears.

Dude, you should see the size of the amp! But seriously, I wear ear plugs a lot--concerts (well, at least the opening act), races and even when using the leaf vacuum. I'd like to get some of the custom ones, though. A friend swears by them.
