Passenger side grab handle will pop the spring and hang down. There is a DIY fix with a roll pin on the interwebs. The sun roof will probably leak, if it has one. It will fill the spare tire well. Ours was fixed under warranty.
So far, the engine and transmission are good at 50k miles.
It's a base model S. No sunroof, cloth interior and about 65k on the clock. Anybody who wants a VW, I tell them no sunroof (even Mrs. DX).
