Hey everyone- I am in the process of fixing up my 88 325is. I was making great headway till I broke a rocker arm. I was driving to replace the timing belt and water pump when it happened- good luck there right? The head is off now and it will be getting a lower mileage head. Everything should be cleared up with it soon.
This weekend I headed up to visit my sister outside of Boston. We make a slight pit stop along the way. I am going to have two spare E30 heads after the debacle with the rocker arm repair. I picked up this 1990 325i 4 door for a cool $400.
The car is very clean and original. I believe it needs a head gasket. It started up right way with a jump and after about 5 minutes started blowing white smoke. The car hasn't been used in 1.5 years since this happened. The interior is mint and the cloth seats felt nice. The brakes are brand new and the tires are decent. The AC worked and it should clean up nicely with some elbow grease. The bumpers alone are worth the price of admission here.
The only problem is I need to find a way to get the car from near Foxboro,MA to down to me in Norwalk, CT. I am going to have to rent or borrow a truck. At any rate, here's the pics.
