Thanks for sharing the link, I forgot that Jeep had a road racing program.
This was actually my first race attended as a unpaid crew member on a low budget Trans Am team. The race was a long one that required a pit stop so here I am having to heft a full size NASCAR dump can on my shoulder and wearing some hand me down nomex suit but our stop was as quick or quicker then some of the pro teams. Didn't help, we still finished well down in the field.
I was there too!! I can't remember how I got in. But I was in the ten to 12 year old range.. I watched most of the races from the top of the parking garage (better than grandstand seats). Snuck into the VIP area by walking on the other side of a truck from where security was standing....
In the Vip area.. I Got loads of swag, and ate like a king!!!!!
