Any one familiar with the Nissan Throttle Body carbs from the late 80's Era? I did a post late last week ("at odds with a Nissan" ) about high idle in my '87 Sentra w/ an E16i/5spd. After a little good advice from a few folks (thanks Happy Andy and others!) I saw an improvement for about 30 miles after changing the manifold temp sensor and burping the cooling system. Then suddenly the RPM's shot up to about 3000 sitting at a stop light and would not drop. By the time I was able to get the car home it was reving as high as 4500 rpm and not dropping. I was doing 65+mph in 4th gear w/o touching the gas! Done a lot of things to the car but haven't learned the carb system much yet. Guy at the parts store suggested the Idle Speed Control Valve is bad. Any ideas to help a brother out and get him to work tomorrow? Signed, Desperate in Auburn GA
