I was one of the people who broke that news on facebook.
Airport wants to add helicopter hangar space out there. (Which is what the US army built it for originally)
This is coming from who we locally rent the site through from the city.
It's legit.. The party has 84 days left before the music stops.
Dang. Well that sucks
There's talk of having a last, blowout, 2 day event with all of the autocross clubs in DFW. It'd be pretty cool, but also probably really difficult to get organized.

Yeah thats just a hope and a dream at the moment. That will take someone stepping up to make it happen.

If there's one thing Ken Block has proven it's that you can definitely run a car event right through the middle of a giant building. Just sayin..
That was the only venue I almost knocked myself out at while autoxing. Was in my old mirage and started to slide a little bit then I got grip and whack nailed my head on the top of the door.
It was a great place for many years.
