Looks like my old 01 GT. I had the Steeda G-trac setup on it and the car handled great. Gears, and underdrive pulleys helped a bunch too.

Fuel filter?

If you felt uneasy, you could run it in the exhibition class.

That is one hell of a score. I am jealous.

Changed the fuel filter, still won't start. We will look for a fuel pump fuse next?

Should we hear the fuel pump switch on at the tank when we turn on the ignition?

Do the later Mustangs have the same fuel cutoff if the rear is bumped? IIRC, there's a reset switch on the Fox Mustangs, maybe something similar on the New Edges?

I concur. That price was open to anybody who had the balls to walk up and ask about the car, therefore it complies.

Yes, any fuel injected car the fuel pump should run for a second or so when you first turn the ignition on. If it does not run, check the fuse, relay, and if those are both good, check the pump itself.

Hmm, you might wanna try cleaning or replacing the IAC.

I once hit a pot hole in my focus hard enough to trip the switch. Had I not known about it, it would have been tow time. I'd check this if you havent .

Thanks so much for the advice and ideas.

The fuel cutoff switch in the trunk is in the correct position.

The fuse for the fuel pump is good.

We will try to isolate the fuel pump and see if it is working tomorrow and if not replace the pump.

I agree, the Mustang powertrain the in the Capri would be a blast, but since the Capri motor seems to be in good running order, I think I will leave the motors where they are for now.

It's alive!

My son did all the work and after checking the electrical connections, etc., determined that it was the fuel pump. He got a new one, swapped it out, and it started right up!

No road test yet, two of the tires won't hold air, but we will get new tires on Monday.
