So here's a weird one I got. On my '99 2.5RS i get this crazy noise from the cv joint boot on the driver's side after the car warms up. The joint seems tight. It almost seems like the boot itself is making the noise, Spraying a little bit of silicone on the rubber at one point seemed to temporarily fix it. Any know of something else I might be able to shove on it to get the noise to go away. I do not want to have to resort to pulling it out of the hub to replace the boot.

I cannot really help with an answer; I have the exact same issue on my '98 Outback.

It seems to have started a couple days ago and I have noticed anything unusual upon visual inspection. This sound definitely isn't a typical clicking or thunking noise, more like a rubbing or binding noise. I also only experience this after a thorough warm up.

Any ideas for me to check when I crawl underneath tomorrow?

I guess I'm not alone, not sure man, check the wheelbearings too, but all that stuff checked out fine on my RS.
