I kinda like it, but I know that this cars target audience will revolt the idea.

There has been talks of a 4-door Mustang for a while.

While its blasphemy, I don't think that rendering looks bad at all.

So they are re-doing the Lincoln LS? I mean isn't that what the mustang is based off of with a much better motor and a worse rear end?

Call it a Mustang and its blasphemy of the highest order. Call it a Falcon or Torino and its brilliant. I'd love a Torino!

Wasn't that an April Fool's joke from one of the buff mags (MT, C&D, R&T, etc.)?

EDIT: Yes it was, from R&T:

They're both four-wheeled cars sold by Ford dealerships, but that's about all the relation they have.

In reply to mrhappy:

If we got that, for an affordable(32-40k), nobody would buy a mustang, camaro, or challenger ever again.......why buy them when the falcon looks better, sits on a better platform, and is more useful.....

I'll take a sedan and ute with the turbo straight six please.....

They're both four-wheeled cars sold by Ford dealerships, but that's about all the relation they have.

Shared components include the floor pans, portions of the transmission tunnel, the front frame rails, and basic fuel tank design.

Agreed. I wouldn't buy, but I don't like 4dr sedans in general... still... it looks better than either of the new Chargers...

Regardless, just bringing over a LHD Falcon would make more sense.

Just modify the styling a bit and call it a falcon and everyone is happy.
