I was surprised how hard the GT3 cars would race each other down the straights 1 on 1. They're draft passes, it's going to happen, do you really need to move at the last second as the car is pulling out to make the move or force someone onto the grass (I'm not sure that happened this year but it has in the past)?
It was also surprising how many incidents happened on the GP circuit where it is nice and wide with lots of run off. I'm guessing two things lead to it, one being a desire to get a move done before hitting the Nordschleife and the other maybe just turning your brain off for a minute before hitting the Nordschleife again.
